What is Buzzin' Meeples & how does it work?

Buzzin' Meeples is a small independent Board Game Venue located on Bury Old Road in Prestwich (opposite Heaton Park Metrolink Station) - you can book a table to play your choice of the 750+ games in store - you pay for the length of time you want to play. Play as many games as you wish during your stay! Tutorials are sometimes be available for some of the games in the library.

Booking tables in advance using our online booking system is recommended, if there are tables available you can walk in and select a table. There are a maximum of 6 good sized tables available which hold player numbers ranging from 2 players to 10 players*.

Prices for general bookings / table use are £2.99 per person per hour (with the exception of Table 2, the Premium Table, which is priced at £3.49 per person per hour).

Ground Floor:

• Table 1: 2 players maximum

• Table 2 (Premium Table): 4 to 10 players maximum
  (A non-refundable 50% deposit will be required to reserve Table 2)

• Table 3: 2 to 4 players maximum

Basement:

• Table 4: 2 to 5 players maximum

• Table 5: 2 to 4 players maximum

• Table 6: 2 to 6 players maximum

 

​*Please Note: Buzzin' Meeples is a small venue. For more than 8 people, multiple tables would be needed.

Private booking of the Ground Floor, Basement or entire venue is possible​

Hot & cold drinks and cold "tuck shop style" snacks are available to purchase in-store for customers (no alcoholic drinks are sold but a corkage charge is optional if you wish to bring your own alcoholic drinks).

Please do not bring your own food into Buzzin' Meeples unless it has been agreed in advance and due to special dietary needs only.

Rental of games is available for many of the games in the Buzzin' Meeples Library (see the RENT page of the website for full details). Note: As game rental is on a "Trust Basis" without deposit, Board Game Rental is only available to customers who have played in Buzzin' Meeples logged on at least 3 occasions - and is at the owners discretion. 

Games can be purchased from Buzzin' Meeples - there are none in stock in store, I order in stock to demand (due to lack of shelf space) - but I'll try and get the best price possible for the games you want. Let me know if you are looking for anything!

Various Special Events are held - our highly regarded Learn & Play Sessions, Social Games Nights, Dexterity Nights, Dungeons & Dragons sessions (for new and experienced players), RPG's and Blood on The Clocktower.
